When choosing a dental professional to care for your teeth and gums, it’s important to consider many different factors. Obviously, you want someone who truly cares about you and your oral health, but they also need to be knowledgeable about current dental treatments, high-quality materials, and state-of-the-art technology.
This commitment to continuous improvement is what FAGP is all about, so let’s take a look at what Dr. Holt’s FAGD achievement means to you and your family.
What Is FAGD?
FAGD stands for Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Only 6% of U.S. dentists have earned this honor. For Dr. Holt to achieve this prestigious award, he committed to continuing education courses, giving his personal time to benefit his patients.
To achieve FAGD status, Dr. Holt was required to:
- Complete 500 continuing education credits
- Pass a comprehensive 400-question exam
- Maintain an AGD membership for at least three consecutive years
